Computing at Rushey Green

Purple Mash is a child‑friendly online space where children can learn important computer skills in a safe and fun way. It’s designed especially for primary schools, so everything is age‑appropriate and easy for young learners to use.

Purple Mash introduces children to the three key strands of the primary computing curriculum in a way that feels simple, engaging and accessible for families. Each strand supports a different part of children’s digital learning, and together they help build confidence, creativity and safe online habits.

Throughout their time at Rushey Green, pupils will experience a wide range of computing units, including the following:

  • Coding: Making a simple program
  • Word processing
  • Touch typing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Simulations
  • Presentations
  • Blogging
  • Digital Art and Design
  • Data Handling: Creating graphs
  • Online Safety
